Q1: Do we need multi Kata-Agent for Kata? Do we need multi Guest VM to run KATA?
A1: Each Guest VM can run 1 or N containers, just like native. Each VM only needs one Kata-Agent to community kata proxy.
 
Q2: Will ACRN still keep slim when supporting Kata?
A2: Should be yes. The Kata-Agent should be very small but will double check it after implementation.
 
Q3: A usage related question: Thanks, So what the purpose of running Kata container on GuestOS instead of SOS.seems it better on data centre than on IOT?
A3: This could be a future usage for both automobile and industry. With such capability, IoT device can be connected to Cloud, so cloud administrator can orchestrate workloads on IoT device remotely by kubernetes. There may be other reasons and usages not listed here.
 
Q4: Will the number of containers be limited by the number of cores?
A4: Today it’s limited by CPU cores because we’re using core partition. After CPU sharing feature ready in 2019, we can support more containers beyond core numbers.
