ACRN Demo?

Lonnie Cumberland

Hi All,

I am new to ACRN but have seen a few videos showing the ACRN hypervisor running some OS's on Linux.

I was wondering if there were any ACRN Demo ISO's around that I could download to boot up on my AMD 64-bit system (I currently run Ubuntu 20.04) to see it in action on my hardware without having to compile a bunch of stuff together just to see a demo?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Lonnie

Hi Lonnie,

Unfortunately we do not have a complete ISO image that includes ACRN. ACRN is easy to set-up on Ubuntu on a supported system via the Debian Packaging mechanism: https://projectacrn.github.io/latest/misc/packaging/README.html

I would recommend that you use one of our supported HW platform for this first experiment. The list of supported HW can be found here: https://projectacrn.github.io/latest/reference/hardware.html

Cheers,

Geoffroy
